This is a plainer example, with many features switched off. There are no images, no filled panel behind the menu items, and no vertical line.
We've also reduced the amount of space between items, and aligned the text to the center.
If this page had a background image, we could also have made the menu transparent (in Internet Explorer), allowing the page background to show between the items and beneath the scrolling arrow.
