ImageRoll is a vertical animated image scroller with a wide range of control and interactivity options. ImageRoll can display an unlimited number of images in a vertical 'strip', scrolling them at your chosen speed. Each image can have a text caption, wrapped automatically onto multiple lines as needed.
Options are included that allow the scroll direction and/or speed to change according to mouse movement, and scrolling can be paused if the user moves into the center of the strip (you can choose how tall this invisible area should be).
Every image can link to a particular URL when clicked. The spacing between images, background color, selector color and many other options are editable. A semi-transparent gradient mask can be placed at each end of the applet, and images can optionally be tinted with any color when the mouse moves over them and/or show a selection border of any thickness. Images (and their captions) can be aligned to the left, center or right of the applet.
Finally, ImageRoll can display panoramic images by specifying a single image for ImageRoll to display. If you allow the user to change scroll direction by moving the mouse toward the top or bottom of the applet, the user can pan upward and downward through the panorama. ImageRoll can also play MP3 sound effects on mouse click and release, and supports the Cool Focus Satellite system.
