Menu Dummy
Sometimes we're asked whether our heavyweight menu systems can display 'x' items (where 'x' is at least a few hundred). We could be bold and say "Yes", or be careful and say "No", but we prefer to be helpful and say "Why not try it?".

The catch, of course, is that it's no quick job to add a few hundred links to a menu applet, even using our Designer Win32 setup utilities. And if you don't get the result you want, you've wasted your time.

Menu Dummy is a free utility that solves this by automatically generating as many dummy menu items as you need (up to 9999) in a few seconds. These are created as <param> tags that you can paste into an HTML page and test the result. Menu Dummy can currently create items for Elevator, Flyer and TreeView Professional.

Remember that like any program, a Java applet can't use more system resources than are available. We've successfully tested all three supported menus with 5000 items, so we're confident that most systems will handle up to 1000 without breaking a sweat, but we recommend testing the page in a range of target browsers and systems before making your decision.
