PicStrip is an animated image scroller that offers a wide range of control and interactivity options. PicStrip can display an unlimited number of images in a horizontal 'strip', scrolling them at your chosen speed. Options are included that allow the scroll direction and/or speed to change according to mouse movement, and scrolling can be paused if the user moves into the center of the strip (you can choose how wide this invisible area should be).Every image can act as a link to a particular URL or execute a JavaScript method when clicked. If images are too tall to be displayed in the applet, PicStrip will scale them by ratio to prevent distorting them. You can also choose to have all images automatically grayscaled, with the full-color image shown only when the mouse moves over it. The spacing between images, background color, selector color and many other options are editable.
For each image displayed, PicStrip can display a short message, either as a 'tooltip' shown within the applet itself or in the browser's status bar. If you choose the tooltip option, you have full control over the colors of the tooltip box.
Finally, PicStrip can display panoramic images. If you allow the user to change scroll direction by moving the mouse toward one side of the applet or the other, the user can pan backward and forward through the panorama.
